(7”-2’) This multipupose gourd can eaten as a vegetable when 2-3” long. In warm climates or when started early indoors the mature fruit can be harvested for sponges. The skin on the outside of the gourd has to be dry to harvest for sponges. Vigorous vines, up to 15’ long in warm climates. Yellow flowers. 130 days (dried fruit).

290 seeds/oz. 10-15 days, 70-75°F. Start early indoors. Soak seeds in warm water overnight before seeding. Can also be seeded directly in the field in warm climates after soil temperature is 72°F.
